This is Your Blog Too!!

I can’t believe this blog will celebrate its two year anniversary in April.  I think we should have a party!  Oh wait, we already do… it’s our “end of tax season” party.  We’ve had our ups and downs but I’m proud of us for sticking with it.  Our staff stays very busy and sometimes posting a blog is challenging.  Things got pretty quiet during my four months of maternity leave last year, but I’m back!  I know you are excited!

We created this blog to help you; our readers, our clients, our friends.  We know you are bombarded with information.  Tax and accounting can sometimes be intimidating topics.  Our goal is to keep you informed so you can be better business owners, employees and asset managers.  You can help us by giving us your feedback and requests.  If you have a question related to a particular blog already posted, leave a comment.  You can always email us questions on requested topics.  There are no dumb questions.  I’d bet money that if you have a question, many others have the same one.

One of my personal goals this year is to ramp up the blog again.  I want it to be resource for our readers.

So bring on the questions!

QuickBooks ventures into the world of Customer Relations Management

Jodi Coppens of AdvantEdge Accounting Solutions is a consultant we have worked with for years.  Jodi is an expert with the MAS 90/200 software family of products and the QuickBooks software line of business software.

Our clients really appreciate Jodi’s expertise in helping them maximize their investment in software.  Jodi was telling me about some significant features being added to QuickBooks for the 2012 releases.

I asked Jodi to write this blog for our readers:

QuickBooks takes baby steps into the world of CRM with the release of its 2012 product line!

Introducing the Lead Center:  moving towards a mini-CRM functionality, a new “Center” has been added to manage Leads.  You have basic support for tracking your interactions with potential customer.  You can add lead information one entry at a time, or cut and paste multiple entries from an Excel spreadsheet (after moving columns to conform to the mapping that QuickBooks requires). Once a lead becomes a customer, you can easily move the lead data to your customer database with a single click, and the best thing is, they don’t clutter up the customer list until that time.

Users who desire more-robust CRM functionality now have the option of integrating this software with Salesforce.com through the new Salesforce for QuickBooks add-on.

Also introducing the Calendar View:  You can now access an organized and automatically populated calendar view of appointments, your To Do’s list, and invoices and bills coming due or past due.

You can also use this view to see what transactions you entered on any given date. I think I’m going to find this very useful!!

Welcome to our BLOG!

Welcome to the Polito Eppich Blog.  We hope you will come and join us often.  We want to offer San Diego a source of tax, accounting and business information that is fresh and useful.  Our posts will be personal and engaging. The last thing we want to do is talk about geeky accounting information that is too difficult to understand.  Yes, we will be writing about taxes and accounting and you’re probably wondering how that can be fun and engaging.  I guess you’ll just have to come back to see how.  However, I can tell you this.  It will not be written like the IRS code which takes a lawyer to understand (lucky for you, you don’t have to read that stuff).

We will also blog about the community, do some client spotlights, and give you fun information about us.  We enjoy our relationships with our clients and community.  We strive to be accessible and personal; we never want to be stiff and stuffy.

We welcome you to stop by our website for more information about us.  There you will find personal profiles and fun pictures.

Contact us frequently; we want your input and questions.  This blog is for you, not us.  We hope you enjoy.
